Avocado Egg Toast For Baby-Led Weaning
Why I Love This Avocado Toast With Hard Boiled Egg For Baby
One of the simplest baby-led weaning breakfasts is avocado egg toast.
It’s so quick to make, very filling for babies and toddlers, and packed with a lot of nutrients that kids need to grow.
On busy mornings when I don’t have enough time to make breakfast, I usually turn to something with bread.
Most of the time I’ll do baby French toast (eggy bread), and other times I’ll do avocado toast with a hard-boiled egg.

What Age Baby Is This Avocado Egg Toast For?
This avocado egg toast is perfect for babies of any age.
My infant who’s currently 7 months old loves this recipe because he can gnaw on the toast to help him practice chewing.
My toddler loves it because he enjoys eating bread, and adding avocados is one way that I can get him to eat some vegetables and get much-needed nutrients.
I also enjoy eating this recipe because it’s so healthy. I enjoy hard-boiled eggs and that’s one way I get to eat them.

Eggs are a common allergen for babies
Eggs are a common allergen in babies. Before you try this recipe, make sure that your baby isn’t allergic to eggs.
It is not recommended that you mix multiple foods in the beginning stages of baby-led weaning, because mixing different foods makes it difficult to identify which one may be the cause of an allergic reaction.
So if you haven’t fed eggs to your baby on its own, don’t make this avocado egg toast. Try serving avocados on its own, and then eggs on its own to isolate any allergens first.

You can use teething rusk instead of toast
For this avocado toast with hard-boiled eggs, you don’t actually need to use bread as toast. You can use teething rice rusks like these ones on Amazon if that’s what your baby is used to.
Rice rusks may be better for babies just started baby-led weaning because they melt easily in the mouth, and are easier to digest.
Just know that they may not fill your baby as much as bread would fill them up. I still use teething rusks every day as a snack for my kids.
