Why I Love This Eggy Bread For Baby-led Weaning

At some point in your baby-led weaning journey, you’ll need to introduce eggs to your baby.

I’ve found eggy bread (baby French toast) to be a great way to do so.

Hard-boiled eggs can be difficult for babies to eat. Even my toddler who’s 2 still finds it hard to eat sometimes. It’s too slippery to hold and rubbery to chew.

So I like to give baby French toast as an alternative when I need to feed eggs to my baby.

The best part about this eggy bread recipe is that it only requires 3 major ingredients. Eggs, milk, and bread.

You can also skip the milk and replace it with 1 tsp of water instead. Because of this, it’s an excellent meal for a baby or toddler who is lactose intolerant or dairy free.

Omega-3 is an essential building block of cells so they help our cells function properly. Choline helps our brain function better as well.

How To Serve Eggy Bread To Babies 6 – 9 Months Old

To serve this baby French toast to babies between 6-9 months old, cut it into large strips.

The strips should be big enough for them to hold, about the size of two adult-sizes fingers pressed together.

This will make it easier for them to feed it to themselves.
