Cauliflower scrambled eggs for baby is my latest recipe.
Cauliflower is one of those recipes that you don’t expect will go well with scrambled eggs but it does.
I made this recipe because I had some cauliflower in my fridge that needed to be used before it went bad.
I’d already made cauliflower muffins, and stir fry, so I needed a new recipe.
I know my baby is very particular about the textures of eggs. The only way he’ll eat scrambled eggs is if there’s something with a harder texture in it.
So I decided to add cauliflower to make cauliflower scrambled eggs for baby.

Why Cauliflower Is Good for Babies and Toddlers
Cauliflower is an excellent vegetable for babies because of its nutritional value. It is high in vitamins C and K. It’s also high in fiber. Babies need that fiber to ensure a regular bowel movement.
Cauliflower also contains choline. Choline is very important in brain development, and very few vegetables have it. Cauliflower is one of those few vegetables that have choline (source).
How to serve Cauliflower Scrambled Eggs To Babies
6 – 9 months old
You can serve cauliflower scrambled eggs for babies in a bowl. Babies between 6-9 months old will be better at scooping food from a bowl with their hands.
10-12 months old
Once your baby is between 10-12 months, they may be ready to learn to use a spoon. So I suggest feeding them cauliflower egg scramble with a preloaded spoon.
12 months plus
Toddlers older than 12 months be given a spoon to feed themselves with. At this age, they should be practicing independent eating with utensils.
Tips for Picky Eaters
Don’t pressure
Give your baby or toddler a chance to say no. It’s okay if they don’t like what we serve them. Keep trying.
It takes at least 30 exposures for a baby to begin liking a food, so don’t give up.
Make it into a game
Sometimes I create games around the food I serve to get my kids interested in eating.
A game we’ve played in the past is called “Here comes the airplane… open the garage”. This encourages them to open their mouth as I bring the food in like an airplane.
Sometimes my kids will try new foods this way.
